Blake
is an experienced deer and small game hunter. He also pursues
bear and and coyotes. Although he hunts with a compound bow,
gunhunting is still very important to him. He also guides
for wilderness adventures in the Tobeatic. Blake resides in
Bear River, NS. Blake has played a key role in helping to
make this site what it is.
Rick
has been hunting for 35+ years for small and big game (deer
and bear) with shotgun, rifle, blackpowder firearms and the
last eight years with a compound bow. Rick is a Bowhunting
Instructor and the Provincial Archery Coach. Rick was the
Nova Scotia Archery Coach at the 2003 Canada Games. If anyone
has any questions on archery and/or bowhunting he should be
able to find the answer for them if he doesn't know it offhand.

Gary
Loves to bowhunt for white tail deer and shotgunning for pheasant
and grouse. At present living in Winnipeg but is due to move
to the Annapolis Valley in the summer of 2004. While not adverse
to hunting deer with a rifle, Gary loves the added excitement
and challenge of bowhunting. A military member with 26 years
experience, Gary has attended all of the military survival
courses, Land,Sea, Arctic, Desert and Combat survival and
is very adept at living in the woods. He will be writing on
survival, first aid, navigation, shelters and fire building.
He is also graduate of the ERI Canada Ground Search Managers
Course and is qualified to lead Ground Search Teams.

Shane has been hunting for 4 years but has been in the woods with his
father for many more. He enjoys hunting for all species of game animals but
more enjoys hunting for the big Canada geese and ducks and chasing
pheasants, grouse and woodcock with his Britney pointer Duke. He has
harvested deer and recently shot a Black bear with his bow. Shane is on the
Canada Games Core team for Nova Scotia archery and enjoys teaching archery to youth and introducing the sport to newcomers. Shane is from Greenwood in Kings County.
