Just back from an exciting moose hunting trip on Newfoundland. Hunted hard, got wet, saw some more rugged country!

Newfoundland is a true gem!

Getting ready to board in North Sydney......Freddie and I had our boxes full of ice......

Off the Smallwood at the crack of dawn.......fog and rain!

Cruised up the TCH to the 480, down to Peter Strides, where our float plane was waiting to take us to our home away from home, for the week.

After a long spot and stalk, I managed to harvest a nice 14 pt bull. Ran out of sunlight so we packed him out the following day. A nice layer of frost kept him cool during the night.

Had the bike so we utilized it to get my moose to the boat.

Our crew tagged out.
Ben managed to harvest a plump 8 pt bull
Fred put his efforts in on an 8 pt bull as well.
Randy (1st time moose hunting) brought home a 6 pt bull. Randy was bow hunting, but in the end decided to switch to his rifle. The animals were on the move alot, but the weather we hunted was not the best for bowhunting.

Before we knew it, our ride arrived to take us to Peter Strides, for the long drive home.

Had a great trip, hunted hard.
Going back next year!

Nahhhh wingman, I can't afford it. Thas what credit cards were made for.....

Hunting over on Newfoundland is truly an adventure....from the minute you leave the house to the second you pull in the driveway, its all good! Were were "travelling" for 21 hours just to get to the camp, and another 23 hours coming home.
