What a great Skeet and Turkey Shoot they had today at the Chester Rod & Gun Club. Whilst the Skeet Rounds were going on, those not shooting skeet were able to buy .22 and centrefire rounds to shoot for turkeys and hams. They had an old German made single action .22 revolver, a 44Magnum (Ruger Redhawk) and a .45 (Sig Sauer). It was great to see a lot of first-time pistol shooters, and many experienced shooters who had never fired the 44 or 45. The object was to break a clay pigeon at about 22 yd to get a ballot put in the box for the turkey/ham draw. Lots of fun to be had, and lots of enquires about when our next Restricted course will be (probably in February). The Club does a Skeet Shoot once a month and the "pistol shoot" may just become a monthly thing as well.
