Got one for you trappers out there

I watched a white and black fox last night for about 20 minutes

Never seen anything like that in my life

Hope I see him again when mama is home to get a pic

I thought at first it was a big cat until it got closer

It was mainly white with a black tail, face and looked like some black on the legs

 Cheers

More than likely a Cross Fox as they are called , or Cross Phase , ( has color melanistic variant of red fox )
Usually they are darker not lighter , but it can happen same as albinoism in deer and moose , Only ever seen one in light phase 20 years ago , but have gotten couple in darker phases . Would love see a pic for sure to get proper ID on it tho

Will try my best to get mama to get a pic if I see him again

I have been seeing what I call two real ugly foxes there for 2 years now. Not the nice red coats in fact little red at all that one would normally see and a lot of black I am now wondering if this may have been one of their pups since they had a den just 300 feet away

I will keep watching

The mom and dad look like this guy almost

 Take care

My sister lives in St John NB about a minute walk to where the cruise ships park. She has seen a black fox with a white tip on its tail very often.

Thanks to all on this site who assisted with my taxidermy season . I hope I am even busier next season and can continue to produce even better mounts.

I wonder if that could be a silver. They were here years ago after some getting away from fox farms. I had one mounted at the time

 Cheers

Thats what I told her . Most likely a silver looking for cats or cat food.
