Leen’s is a traditional Maine sporting camp, with rustic cabins scattered among towering pines and ambiance to spare. Come fall, the region is awash in spectacular foliage, with woodstoves piping smoke into brilliant skies. Leen’s offers the quintessential New England hunt on more than 350,000 acres of accessible land. Guides and dogs lead clients into coverts of second growth, overgrown farms and alder runs—prime habitat for grouse as well as resident woodcock and birds moving south out of Canada. Crisp October days see hunters working edges and pushing through cover, with shots often taken through trees or small openings at jinking feathered blurs.

It's nice writing and all, but really, I can't see it being substantially different than here.  Maybe if you're in Boston this sounds amazing, but to me it sounds like Nova Scotia.

The place that sounds really amazing to me is deer hunting on Anticosti Island.  Very few people there, no predators, and only outfitters providing access to the hunting lands.  They claim you can hunt a deer that has never seen a human, so it's like going back a century.

Have never hunted maine but agree. Spent a ton of time down there in the woods pulling out old cars and parts over the years and no more birds than we have

One place in Limestone we would visit at least once a year had 5000 old cars from the 20's to the early 70's it was a unreal place to get old stuff until the mid 90's when they made them auction off and crush what was left sad.png

Yep we even took a 34 ford 3 window coupe out the there for 800 bucks which a guy has here now done and worth like 100K
