Apparently you are never too old to learn. I was not aware that bear season (Rifle) started today. I thought it was the same as deer. What’s the point of bow only for deer for the first 2 weeks, if you can be in the woods now with a rifle ???

Apparently there's no difference , it's just to say they offer a bow season , and your bow tag is still good till end of general season for deer, gives some that extra chance to take a second one when ever , I'm sure there "some who will flaunt the rules of "bow only " and cut a deer tag on the bear rifle/shotgun hunt .

Just shows how truly backwards our system is .

Edit, as well they manipulate when you can go with your muzzie or crossbow , but yet Rifle/Shotgun can still be carried for bears ,
