Technology is taking over the sport. Soon the poor deer won’t have a chance!

One day someone will come upwith a way to kill game via your computer at home:

OH WAIT THEY ALREADY DID !

If you just want to kill for the sake of killing just farm your own deer.

Agree 100% only I thought that stared happening like 25 / 30 years ago

I think about what my grandfather would think today who always got his deer by still hunting with a 30/30 open sites and a round in his hand and a few in his pocket. Would not even load the gun until ready to shoot

Knife, matches no compass, some chewing tobacco and a can of sardines in his red checkered wool shirt and rubber boots. The green ones with the yellow laces on the top smile.png

Times have sure changed

Cheers

Growing up on the wharves and boats, I lways had my own Hip rubbers too..the good ones like my dad and uncles wore from schooner outfitting...yellow band on the top.

Feels good jogging this morning...even if it is only my memory  !!   cool.png cool.png

Christ don't even talk about those

Mine were hanging at moms in the finished heated basement for about 8 years ( two pair ) . When she sold the house year and a half ago I grabbed them off the hooks and they crumbled in small pieces on the floor

Never seen anything like it

Cheers

Let me clarify - people “generally” buy and use crossbows for use in the Archery and Muzzleloader Season.  These new crossbows have the ability to have more than one arrow/bolt cocked and ready to fire.

The NS Firearm and Bow Regulations states that “a crossbow is a tool with a bow fixed across a stock with a grove for an arrow or bolt ......”.  Because of this description I can’t see this weapon being allowed in the early season as this new crossbow has two bows  across the stock and capability of two arrows or bolts.

With that said these new crossbows may be permitted (as shotguns are) to hunt deer on the General Season”.

............. anyways my opinion only but I would be very surprised if this new crossbow would be permitted in the Bow and Muzzleloader season.   Not unlike the new Firestick concept which is loaded into the breech of a muzzleloader. This is not permitted in the early season as well as all powders / pellets need to be loaded from the muzzle.

Ah, got ya.   Basically is it the singular wording in the definition you are referring to...?
