Bird boy,...I'm not trying to be an azzole here but I really don't think that is a good idea. If the deer happens to eat a few of the plastic strands that the bag is made from it could cause a big problem in their digestive track,...maybe even kill them. I have heard of a few of the guys doing the same thing around here and personally I don't think it is a good idea.

Just something for you to consider.

There are other ways to keep the deer interested, while making the bait pile last longer. I read on here a few years back that once the deer have found your pile, to criss-cross decent size logs over them. make them work for their supper! It's been working for me.

This year i only used apples in bow season because i hate paying for apples. i picked the very few i could find. maybe thats why i didn't get any pics of some crankers. but one thing i did do is spread them out not just a pile make them work a bit.
