Ckc Registered Hunting Beagle

Hey guys,

Currently I own a Chocolate Lab with no hunting lineage that I know of and he has been an excelent duck dog for his first season out. Yesterday I went rabbit hunting with a friend and his Beagle and already loving Beagles watching her track down bunnies made me want one even more. What i'm getting at is that she has no hunting lineage and did fairly well just as my Lab does. What i'm wondering is if I should look for a Kennel with hunting background or does it matter. I also want this dog to be a great family dog on top of being a good hunting dog. Does anyone have any Kennels they would recommend in NS or even NB?
