Looks like MLB season may get pushed back. You do realize the players are currently locked out with a labor dispute ongoing. Pitchers and catchers are suppose to be reporting now , or would have been if not for the lock out; but not happening. Opening day suppose to be March 31 but without at least four weeks of spring training that won’t happen.

My father was a Leafs fan from the time he started watching hockey until he died. Sadly, for the last 40 some years of his life he watched hockey for the love of the game not because Toronto stood a hope in hell of winning anything. They don't call them the MakeBelieves for nothing.
I'm a Habs fan, always have been. I always felt bad for him and all the other Leafs fans. I never once ever said a bad word about the Leafs within his hearing. After all, fan or not, its just a children's game being played by adults who are millionaires working for billionaires.

Yes but those adult players ( in any professional sport ) are the very best on the planet! Although I don’t agree with players making 35-40 million a year I would not agree with the owners making even more then they do now.
Pay players less, but substantial, lower the price at the gate, win win for everyone!
ONE DAY THE MAPLE LEAFS WILL WIN AGAIN

I hope that the leafs someday win the Stanley Cup. My wife has a Maple Leaf sweater, signed and given to her from Doug Gilmore. Back in the 80`s Doug Gilmore ran a summer hockey school here in Yarmouth and he signed one of his sweaters and tickets were sold on it for a fund raiser for minor hockey. The wife won it. Hoping someday they play for the cup so we can sell it. Been holding that sweater for over 40 years now and time is running down at our age LOL

I still remember the last time they won and watching it on tv! Ol Johnny Bower taking a puck in the face to save a goal any staying in the game. Just think what a Johnny Bower or Dave Keaton sweater would be worth!

Being a Habs fan, I take great pleasure in watching the Leafs lose. With all the talent they have on that team, there should be a Stanley Cup in Toronto. They are lacking one thing. Well actually two things now. They are lacking defense and goaltending. They had a great goaltender in Anderson but kept blaming him for all the playoff losses. I'm guessing they will choke in the first round this year as well. As for the Habs, all they have to look forward to is that first pick overall.

GD Habs fans! Typical wanting Toronto to loose. Let’s face it the only reason they won so many cups back in the original six era was because they got first chance ( pick ) of any and all Quebec players!

I like two teams in the NHL. The Habs and any team that beats the Laughs. It must have really burnt your ass when the Habs eliminated the Leafs last year, after being up 3 games to 1. If it came down that the Leafs being Canada’s only team in the playoffs … I would cheer on their opponent. I think Calgary is going deep in the playoffs this year. Leafs will be out in 6 games in the first round. Can you tell I don’t like the Leafs ???

Getting back to the vaccines … I see Canada just approved the use of another “vaccine”. NOVAMAX. WHY ??? Covid is on the way out … provinces are opening up, restrictions are being lifted. I’m guessing Trudeau must have some stakes in that company as well.

Been waiting for Canada to approve Novavax since early Dec. it is not an mRNA

I understand what you guys are saying, however, even if 50% of the population caught it, that doesn't necessarily mean that 50% of the population would need medical care. The powers that be have said that you may have it and not even know it! A very small percentage end up requiring medical care, so few that testing was dropped when we had the highest number of cases to date.

In 2019 how many people had the cold and flu, which is what the current strain is. DID the health care system get overloaded then.

So the pandemic is supposedly over, vax mandates and passports end February 28.
What’s next- law suits likely. All the provincial and municipal employees who lost their job because they were not vaxed will be suing. Pretty simple - they should have been temporarily layed off until the pandemic ended,not terminated. Good lawyers will likely present very good cases showing the unjustified terminations should be nul and void and all employees are entitled to full back pay and benefits.

We the Undersigned 😀and un-vaxed are still alive and kicking , I know plenty who are not locally , plus our Good Friend Thunderstick is still alive and kicking and doing great .😀

Funny thing is I know lots of people not vaxed that never got covid ,just one that did and he was sick for two days with cold like symptoms.I also know lots that got fully Vaxed and about 15-16 of them got covid. Astonishing!!!

Studies are starting to take place. I posted a little article about LaCrete in Alberta having a company come in to test a thousand people or a bit more. I forget exactly the number, only 3500 in the town and believed in herd immunity. They tested people who caught covid and they still had immunity 2 years later. A follow up article recently came out and this company is testing in several towns across Alberta. I think the biggest place mentioned was Grand Prairie. It will be interesting if they follow up with similar results around unvaccinated people such as LaCrete. Makes one think…

I’m sure the studies will take place across the globe . Those any numerous others.
