Sam Moon played at Smooth Herman’s in Sydney a lot talked to him a few times
Met Myles Goodwin and couple of the Henmen’s ( April Wine ) and Randy Bachman from BTO when they played at the Misty Moon. Also met Hank Snow once.
Personally like 60 and 70s music more then 80’s. The Guess Who would be Canada’s #1 best ever rock band !

Kaw Liga was a wooden Indian standing by the door ........
Lol- as said most celebs are just people. Guy I met a yr or so was the drummer in a local band. They were doing a gig at a nightclub in Dartmouth one night when who walks up to the stage and asks them if he could sing a few songs.........Yep you guessed it Charlie Pride! What a performer!!!

Pretty much everything he sang he nailed, IMO he’s under appreciated compared to JC, I love Johnny too though very fun to sing along to his stuff
Folsom prison is a song I play every time I pick up a guitar!
Also big fan of CCR love Fogarty’s voice.

Music can be relaxing and rejuvenating very. Good when feeling stressed. If you see an old guy driving a Tacoma radio blasting and singing American woman or No sugar tonite it’s likely me but of course it could be anything from Deep Purple to Hank Snow.
One great song you seldom here anymore but should esp the Gordon Lightfoots rendition , originally by the Irish Rovers I think
The sun was setting in the west
The birds were singing on every tree
All nature seemed inclined for a rest
But still there was no rest for me
So many great songs

Play it all the time.
Winter is coming so the guitar will be out every day/ evening til fishing season

ive always been very in touch with music since I was a teen. Been into so many genres and artists of different decades. There aren’t many songs I don’t know anymore but the song pool is massive and once in awhile I’ll come across a gem I haven’t heard before in the rabbit hole of YouTube recommendations
Have you watched billy fingers ( at least I think first name is billy ) gotta watch him play the guitar - unreal man

Well everything’s a changing as the days go rolling by
Believe I’m getting old and I know I soon must die
Always riding boxcars forever on the roam
Where’er I hang my hat to me is home sweet home

Wilf Carter was a country singer often mentioned by my mother as he was born in Port Hilford, N. S. not far from her old stomping grounds.
Yes just another good ol Nova Scotia boy that made it big in the music business
Did she ever refer to him as Montana Slim or maybe the yodeling cowboy.

Real tear jerker there by
I was on the outskirts of a little southern town trying to reach my destination before the sun went down

We offer each and everyone a special prayer for you
Cause you just made my little boys dream come true
I’ll sign off now before I start to cry
May God be with you 10-4 and good bye

Lots of tear jerkers
One my sister used to play- Tell me why my daddy don’t come home:
The chorus:
Tell me why my daddy don’t come home
I know that I am much to big to cry
Why don’t he come and play with me again
Mommy why did daddy say good bye

Or How far is heaven
Then - Big John
Big Bad John
And Hurt by JC

Never considered BLUE EYES CRYING IN THE RAIN a real tear jerker but can’t play it here if my wife is home cause it makes her cry every time.
It reminds her of her father as he always played it and was his favourite tune to sing
