Has anyone got any experience drifting down the stewiake or shubie rivers for ducks in a canoe? the idea of it has been in my head for the past two years. worth while?

DO IT i hunt geese out of my kayak for 10 yrs now i got a new dog so i'll mostly be usin my boat but you'd have a ball drifting down that river just use a pull cord life support cause it dont get in the way of shooting..

I did a canoe drift hunt down the Stewiacke a few years ago. Saw lots but only shot one. It's a big river so a lot of long open water, hard to surprise anything. We floated down with a trolling motor and battery in bottom of canoe to hook up for coming back up.

If you do it in the winter be very cautious of the ice. When my brother and I did it we almost ended in disaster.
