I hope all you Capers are preparing for her arrival. Looks like Cape Breton is going to take a direct hit. I’m not expecting too much in Lunenburg county, but it keeps tracking left, so I will be fully prepared. Generators all gassed up …

Well , Gas cans are full , chainsaws are on the ready , generator and gas powered water pump are tested and on stand by , all patio furniture is put away , anything that can get blown around is weighed down , tied down or stored away . I've got that uneasy feeling about this one.

After 2016 storm and over $100,000 in damages from flooding , we take nothing for granted , always have lots of batteries and portable chargers on stand by yr round .

Out and about today and the air has strange feel to it , skies are telling us to get things ready .

Idiot next to us has quite the mess with enough 2 x 4 s laying around to make some interesting projectiles in strong winds , never see them clean up the crap or do any prep work , just hoping they are like Dorthy and get blown off to Oz

The wind is expected to be = or > hurricane Juan but the weather is warmer and Fiona is a week earlier, so buckle down the hatches. Might not be a good idea to go hunting Saturday!!!

Lookin at the potential rainfall levels associated with this storm...Jumpin
Jeezus they've still not recovered from the flood damage from last fall around the island...whatever work was done will most likely be erased again !!
My heart goes out to the folks who are dreading the same thing happening to them again this next go round.

I will be ready today with generator, batteries and outdoor furniture put away.
I am the same way with an uneasy feeling about this one.
Dorian was the last big one here with lots of trees down in 2019.
