It's obviously Climate Change.
God knows just would not let our friend buckmark jump on that space ship right now to meet his maker since he may be fine(y) People can do wonderful things with numbers for a good story Why won't they meet with the lady as she requested to see what is going on. They are sure not beyond sending wrong info in NS either to her IMHO
Like this sudden increase is a hard one to swallow
Time will tell on this one

Needless to say there is some scrambling to find a reason. Australia has a big write up, so does the UK. Definitely strange to say the least. Some say healthcare shortage is to blame, all speculation at this point. I can't make a difference regarding it, I can only make decisions for myself. While I do wonder what the cause will be attributed to, would I trust the answer given, probably not. No need for me to concern myself. More concern for younger family members as it seems to be younger people as well and that is the real shame.

Young people honestly could not careless. More of them accept the science than us old folks that is for sure

I wonder what "the science" will say the cause is?
You mean the world or nova scotia
If nova scotia I bet my guess we have a reporting data issue going on Like I said put the estimated and that is all they are bar numbers back to where they were and we are back to where we have always been up just a bit One has to ask why the bar was dropped from 216 to 186 a week on the top of the ranges Why else would they not talk to the lady doing the report like she asked she seemed quite alarmed but the old province sure doesn't

Gotta start somewhere. With NS projecting their population to double, we need all the healthcare training we can get. I think, in order to fix the crisis ... or at least, really help it out ... the Feds and provincial government needs to pay for a large chunk of the cost of becoming a doctor or nurse, and these nurses and doctors would be required to stay in NS for a 20 year period. We need to make it appealing for these healthcare professionals to want to stay in rural areas for a long time ... not just use NS as a stepping stone for 2 years, and then gone.

Agree like I have said here before nothing new we did it in the coal mines for engineers and techs when we could not get them and that was late 70's early 80's
I would say over 85% of those that went through the program in devco stayed after their 10 years in the agreement was up and most are retired here now
The other big one coming and not being talked about is the age of our doctors I forget the number but something like 25% over age 60 so we have to get moving fast with these new students
I remember talking to my doc I would say she is like 35 now and told me she is still paying off her student loan and if they did something like free student loans they would be lined up to get into medicine and she is right
Dropping that BS testing for US doctors to come here yesterday also may help some and there was talk of an announcement from the nurses union yesterday to do something similar in the next week
Other thing they have to do is relook at the training required to be a nurse like a family member who is involved in the teaching says who nursed for years prior what her daughter has to learn now to become a nurse she is sure some doctors didnot get that Intense training when she went through she thinks it is way too much and maybe as she said I didnot have enough in my day of schooling but she is getting why more than she will ever need or use in nursing to be a successful nurse She figures they should relook at a 2 year program and change the entry requirements WAY too many smart kids she says being turned away because their averages are only 90 imagine
Cheers

I think that the military program for doctors is not highlighted enough. The military will pay your way through your training to become a doctor or dentist. Giving you employment during your training, You have to serve time after your training, but military pay is not bad and you can leave the military debt free after your time served.

Agree I honestly think it was the military program that they used in the coal mines here since we were both owned by the feds so that would make sense . It sounds exactly the same summer jobs waiting etc etc In fact I think they even had a benefit package when still in school
Almost humming bird season my friend :)

Let me tell you how stupid this can be. My son graduated with 80 in his class at Dalhousie (physio thearpy), they only took 6. He was told is marks were so good, that he should go one more year for Pharmacy, after very good marks again no positions available. He then went to the military. They were trilled to get someone with university degrees but they were not allowed to put someone in physio, or pharmacy field if they had taken it prior to military service as a civilian. He then was given the choice to go back to university into something else. He went back to university under the military and became an engineer. Imagine how he could have helped both civilian or military taken especially in the physio field or pharmacy. We sure make it hard for our selves.

Agree with you. I had a friend I graduated with they told him his marks were too low to be an engineer and would not accept him. He went into the military and became one and just retired from the base?? in Kingston when in the end he was teaching it UNREAL

We got Covid once here, 4 kids, no vax here. Everyone else we know that’s been boosted bunch of times has had Covid at least twice, many more. Some help it was to them.

I know one friend at work every time he goes out to the field for a weekend he breaks out in red dots all over his arms and chest. Looks like chicken pox but he says not itchy just breaks out. And surprise surprise he never did That the whole rest of his career there until recently.
Those are tiny tiny blood clots. My wife has numerous clients with the same little red spots and all those clients were vaxed and only happened afterwards. My wife is a skin care specialist

There are now over 1300, yes 1300 verified adverse side effects from the vaccines. These vaccines would have been halted due to the adverse side effects 20 yrs ago. Not sure why they haven’t been banned, killed a lot more people in North America in the last year then all gun related deaths!!
The world TOP expert and specialist and most respected ( nobel prize winner ) in vaccines and viruses has spoken out about these vaccines but suddenly he’s a nut and not an expert, go figure.
Fortunately for those who are/ were military ( esp in Canada ) can relax if they were ever deployed out of country because they had so much chit in injected into them they are probably immune to everything! But they still gotta worry about wakin up and looking like a well lit Christmas tre !!!!!
