Sadly, only gun owners seem to see the truth here. All Canadians deserve to be safe from gun violence and as gun owners we are no different. But, the government brings in laws and restrictions that have virtually ZERO bearing or effect on the source of the illegal guns being used in crimes and therefore virtually ZERO effect on improving public safety, purely for political gain because they lack the balls, frankly, to take effective action to deal with gun smuggling across the Canada - US border.
And, the general public believes the crap.

Well tony your partly right. The gov does what they think will get them votes nothing to do with lacking balls. FIRST they decrease the sentencing time for violent offenders then they move on to banning firearms. All because the tree huggers and snowflakes think sending people to jail is bad and that guns are bad. BUT the general public doesn’t even realize it cause they don’t follow politics, parliament and bills that get passed.
The biggest problem in this country is people have become too pansified and don’t give a chit if it doesn’t effect them personally with the exception of the tree huggers and snowflakes and do gooders who want to save the world the whales and the seals. Most violent criminals don’t understand anything EXCEPT VIOLENCE which has been proven time and again in the history of mankind. Lock em up throw away the key OR even better HANG EM HANG EM HIGH.

Gun owners need to educate non gun owners. Yes we all deserve to be safe and to feel safe to walk the streets at night where we live. Unfortunately many in the bigger cities don’t. I would feel safe anywhere if I could carry a gun

I've heard that saying before.
A whole lot of US citizens might disagree with it based on the amount of gun violence there.
Personally, I am always on guard when I meet another hunter. I've never had a bad experience but having heard lots of horror stories I am always friendly and respectful but watch body language very carefully. Not so much when I'm out hiking or biking in summer but I'm not rude then either. Maybe that proves your point.

I have said it on here 100's of times over the years. NEVER count Justin or the Liberals out
Last two elections all I heard was they were toast and NOPE
There is no slam dunk here either in three years for Pierre or the CPC. This savior PP is losing ground in his own party too far right they say and has to tone it down. Makes great news but loses votes. The days of right wing are gone in canada other than out west which means nothing in forming a government

People seem to forget you don't even need a 1/4 of a brain to cast a vote

Like they said the day he won the leadership

And with two-thirds of the Conservative caucus behind him and that massive convention victory, Pierre Poilievre will undoubtedly get something Scheer and O’Toole didn’t – two election campaigns before the party does its usual dump-the-loser-leader routine.

But his longer-term success depends on swaying the undefined, unpredictable and risk-adverse voters in Central Canada and B.C. who usually christen the election winner and do it while sticking to his controversial positions.

If those voters don’t pivot to firebrand Pierre Poilievre, well, congratulations Conservatives -- you’ve just voted yourself four more years or longer in Official Opposition.

That’s the bottom line.

I don't know if you are quoting someone else or your own words but either way I agree.
Unless the CPC smarten up and play the political game much closer to the center thet will never form a majority government. They need to get back to what the Conservative party was and the way it acted, minus the abject corruption of course, to win.
And Yes I know full well the Liberals as just as bad. Just sneakier apparently.
