Listening to a DNR warden in Cape Breton last year say that the herd was possibly down to 1500 before the draw and the native hunts, how is that hunt possible and a spring bear hunt with a population estimated between 6000-8000 not. I will not be surprised if the moose hunt goes ahead because the same warden said they just wanted it to end, made extinct to stop the foolishness. It will be interesting to see if they go forward with a draw to eradicate the moose or not to save the herd?.
