I think milwaukee is likely right there with dewalt some of the departments i used to work within had contracts with milwaukee and hilti, the milwaukee fuel was very popular. Many different options for both.
Using dewalt for so many years and seeing the abuse and reliablility has just kept me loyal.
I have a Dewalt cordless drill that I've used very little for the last 4 years after buying a Ryobi drill and driver set. They aren't the most powerful for sure but its really convenient to grab the bag with both plus their charger plus driver bits and drill bits.
The Dewalt has set so long now that the batteries seem weak even after charging.☹

That is pretty cool i didnt know they made such a thing. Can you still get parts for craftsman tools since sears closed?aftermarket?I have some older craftsman skilsaws and couple snowblowers often wondered if parts are still available
Newer stuff yes older stuff hit and miss below On the blowers almost all they never made just put a sticker on others like MTD did for them so once one identifies who made it one can get the older parts from them

I am still into my kitchen reno. Waiting for new counter top to come in. Thinking I would do a back splash I checked on these new peel and stick tiles. They wanted $30-$67 a tile measuring 9x9. So I thought about doing it the old fashion way with tiles and grout. 12x12 inch tiles now go for about $12 each, lord thundering.
I am with walter on this one and pretty much have always done similar other than used the concrete boards in the bathroom vs plywood but plywood every where else. We had the stick on in our mobile for black splash and floors and the old house and they were always lifting and then cracking and one needed a spare box to keep replacing them To each their own but not something I would use in this application in a reno Ask for discontinued tiles or old stock they will have some for big savings just make sure you get some extra knowing if you need one down the road it will be not available. When I built the new house I used those discounted ones for all the bathroom walls walk in shower, bathroom and kitchen floors and back splashes and IMO life time . Tile is the answer IMO but yes takes some time to install but you have lots of time :) I also tired to get the type the spacers are not required for the gaps built into the tile less BS to install
Cheers

Older Craftsman hand and power tools ( OLD STOCK , NIB ) are still available on line Amazon for one carries some not all , just got a new Craftsman belt sander at XMas , even nicer than my old Makita that bit the biscuit , it simply fried itself beyond repair at local shop up the street who rebuilds them over .some brands like dewalt he refuses to touch , says it's glorified Black and Decker Parts , in a Lip stick Case , not my words but this guy is excellent on rebuilding electrics both automotive and hand tools and his shop is very busy doing it .

Only one underarm I can use and tried them all with my allergies so asks the daughter to pick me up a pack of two at wally mart which sold for 7.99 I think
She calls and says da they are up to almost 40 bucks on sale and I asked and they said no longer made in canada as of four months ago or so and have to come in from the US now and with the price of shipping etc
I said leave it

I may not have enough days left in life to even use it all but now I have it

#Justinflation !!!! Only gonna get worse
You sure didnot listen to those CEO's in Ottawa yesterday I did and they could not careless what the government said any of them and IMO the ndp did the best job trying about grocery prices and CEO 's were just laughing like one said no one has to buy an item Oh boy and seemed pretty clear if you think 11 1/2 percent increase is it a lot more coming in 2023

I think they need inspectors to go around stores looking at prices. Went looking for Kitchen taps today. At home Depot $179 down from $280, At Kents, no sale $280, At CT $149 on sale. Same frigging taps and all stores are making money.
