Many of you may have heard the Metro Rifle and Pistol Club in Cape Breton recently got approval from the CBRM to develop a new range.
Usually we have a raffle at the Sydney Mines Outdoor show but that has not been an option the last couple years.
Fortunately, this year, the owner of The Bullet Box Indoor Range in Sydney River has stepped up and donated a beautiful CZ455 Evo .22 rifle for the Club to raffle off to raise funds for the range development.

For anyone who wants a look, the gun can be seen at the Bullet Box in Sydney River and tickets can be purchased there or by emt to [email protected]

If purchased by EMT send a follow up email with your info so I can fill out the tickets and send you back a pic of the filled out ticket.

Unlike most raffles we don't drag things out all summer long for people to wonder who ever won.The draw will be live on the Bullet Box Facebook page on May 15.

Retail on the rifle is almost $700. Tickets are $20 and there are only 200 tickets so the odds are pretty decent.

Still tickets available for this raffle. The prize will be delivered to the winner free of charge so if you're off the island you can still grab a ticket. EMT to me, [email protected] and put your contact info in the comments of the EMT and I'll send you a pic of your tickets. Less than 2 weeks till it's drawn Live on Facebook.

The Club has received a permit from the CBRM to develop the land we purchased next to the current DNR range in Leitches Creek. Money from the raffle goes toward the development. We have purchased 150 acres and are trying to get a multi-purpose facility going. Trap and Skeet, Pistol Range, Rifle ranges to 300-400m depending on the land as well as an archery trail for 3d shooting. BassPro/Cabelas has already awarded us a grant for funding to buy archery equipment to run youth archery programs once were open. Those dollars from the donation program at the Bass Pro checkout actually do go back to groups in the Province.
Currently there are no places on CB to shoot past 100m. We are planning to have a spot for at least 300m and hopefully more depending on the land once the trees are cleared.
