Not sure what it is like in your area but sure has been one hell of a good year for the town deer here
Just in the past week seen one doe with a fawn, then two with twins and then one with triplets
Three bucks and three that we know of taken with cars
They are all over the place
Cheers
This was mama and the triplets

The towns and small communities are crawling with deer. They are all “unshootable”. They multiply like rabbits. Most of the urban deer would not know how to survive in the woods. They fear nothing.

Seeing lots as usual. Especially some nice bucks out in daylight. They seem to love whatever grows just beyond my lawn, need to transport that same browse to the woods somehow.

Meanwhile back in the sticks we still have Deer, but they are way more skittish than the urban counterparts and they don't always look both ways for traffic like in town.

Some may laugh but I have seen them looking side to side crossing coming into my yard many times :)

I was trying to be smart with my reply, but I have seen the same thing on occasion.

Is he ever
I was hoping someone here knew this deer. The guy that took the pic won't say but mama says he lives down the valley somewhere so odds are it is down that way
So maybe someone will run into him this year
Cheers

I’ve seen a few in Truro that are piebald but never to that extent. Been a few years though since I’ve seen one.

Yesterday was the first time in 16 years I wished I had a cell phone again to do a video
Coming up to a stop sign at a intersection and to my right in front I could see this buck coming wide open across the field and noticed he had one antler broken off with just three points on one side
I looked down the road and here is this car coming full speed and I think my god they don't see him and he is heading right for them
Sure enough just when he goes to cross the road they must have seen it from the side window and slammed on the brakes
The old deer I figured was heading right into the side of the car and then next thing I knew he was air bore and jumped the car clean right over the roof and never touched it and continued on his run
The lady was crying so I went down to see if she was Ok and she rolled the window down and got out saying where did my cell phone go:rolleyes:
I knew deer could jump but man this was amazing to see
Car was a 4 door blue elantra
Cheers
