Currently all wrc's are valid until dec 31 2015. Even if the expiry date is long past. You can order a new card if you like, but it is my understanding that there will be a charge. This has been the scenario with the wrc's for years, as dnr hasn't had an idea what they were going to do with the program. If they have finally made some new decision on this issue they should let cardholders know.

 

They haven't, the website still says the cards are good till then and don't want people wasting money until they figure it out.

 

i think it was only $5.00 when I renewed mind last year. not worth the hassle, if it expires tyey may tell you that you have to tale the course over,just don't trust them,

Just got off the phone with DNR . Cards are good up to Dec. 31. 2015.

 

A while back, I heard talk of one card.....THEE card for all that stuff....supposed to be linked to Service Canada too....you can do your hunting, trapping & fishing lic....vehicle registration, trailer renewal, personal drivers license..etc...and more. I actually heard this three times in the past two years...once was while waiting at the DMV.

 

and I will just keep waiting to see.

 

WOW ! Got my new Wildlife card in the mail this morning! That was fast ! Didn't think when i started this thread yesterday it would be that quick, even if it did come from Halifax.
