We got 8-10inches light fluffy stuff. The hounds went out this morning and rolled around in it acting crazy. Came back to the door with a snow crown. I might have to fire up the snow blower for the first time in 2 years lol
Right? Its like dogs use the snow as a power bath😅
Had to dig my snowblower out today first time in awhile wouldnt u know it didnt startlol

It has always amazed me the differences between sydney, glace bay and new waterford some storms and we are just a few miles apart
Just came back from grabbing some food for the daughter and here the roads are bare sun out and might be 3 inches in my drive and it is melting a beautiful day

To me it is the changes in our winter over the past 10 years getting so mild and so little snow and people have forgot what a real winter or storm is anymore and now 10 cm is a huge deal
Like I have said before went from using the blower 28-30 times a year here to 2 last year and three so far this year and only one was it really needed
Mom and I still laugh when she says remember when you were a kid and the banks were so high on the roads I would say now kids don't you guys climb them some you can touch the wires and that will kill you Now that was an old CB winter
Cheers

Is it just me or does anyone else finds the news pumps the crap out of some of these regular winter storms the news must have shares in the grocery stores.
I find it also, times sure have changed now it seems any amount of precipitation is advertised as a weather event or statement and repeated over and over on the radio stations.I mean its good in some ways people like details on weather systems but your so right it sends people into panic mode.

Forecast at the moment is only showing 10cm or less for Truro. But it also shows mixed precipitation for both then and Wednesday. The report I’ve read from a Facebook weather forecaster who now also works for saltwire news said as usual it’s too early to know much but in general it sounds like just a typical messy system. Bit of everything but maybe not a whole lot of it. But it can all change with a minor shift in the tracks of course. Hopefully they can pin it down a little better by tomorrow night.

Bridgewater.... at the moment .... 10 to 25 cm. Tuesday into Wednesday. I'm done with the snow. Such a spring like day yesterday (10°) and back to winter tomorrow. Town will be absolutely nuts today. I swear ... people think the apocalypse is coming when they hear we are getting a storm.

Guess my sarcasm went unnoticed 🤣Get those vague weather warnings out there good and early to set the appropriate level of panic.BM u are correct and i wont be going anywhere near town today tomorrow or the next day
I heard you. Ran to the cabin and got my second generator just in case, filled every gas can I had, bought 100 candles, toilet paper, flashlight batteries, brought in extra wood, filled the tractor with diesel, put all the outside stuff away, cleaned storm drains, etc. 😀
