Before the second season it was a little to warm for calling. yesterday they were responding from all directions. I hunt solo and I and my wife were loaded and heading to the butcher at 9:38am

I have hunted trapped and guided these private land hunting grounds all my life I guess.

I must be getting old though because I picked the 35" bull over the 60" when both came in at the same time.

stay safe and the best of luck in the field

Congrats on the moose. Funny how age effects us all but I bet the small one will taste even better :)
Take care

Excellent! I have party hunted moose for over twenty years in NW Ontario. Every member of the party was told over and over, “we are hunting for food , not trophies” If you shot a sausage bull you went directly to the Dog House. Congrats on the fine bull.
